Robert Scoble interviews distinguished IBM engineer and Internet-strategist author, Mike Moran. Moran comments:

“People don’t understand that the early part of every sales cycle has moved to the web. You have to be there. You have to be found. And not just found for the words that describe your product or your product cageory, but for the problem that you solve.

“People may not know that they need the thing that you’re selling…what they might know though, is that they have this problem and if you’ve written good content that explains, ‘OK here’s how you know that you have this problem and here are the 7 ways you can fix it, of which we sell two, and we think they’re the best and here’s why…” Scoble interviews Mike Moran

1. Are you there with your website, blog or iGaggle/NMC profile?

2. Do you have content that real people search for? That’s not the same as content focused on what you have for sale and how wonderful it is.
