Mistake #3. Treat everyone as if they were your prospect – for the business and/or product.

Huh?

Why’s that a mistake, you ask? Isn’t everyone a prospect?

Here’s the one-two answer:

1) How many people have you approached with your high-end skin care line – – say $85?

2) How many said NO, even after a sample that WORKED??

3) How many said “It’s too expensive!”?

Consider: If folks are now spending $5-7 on their skin care cream (like a jar of Ponds for $6) do you think they are a good prospect for your $85 skin cream?

Yes?

No?

If you say No, you understand that marketing is about values.

If you say Yes, it’s back to the “what is marketing?” drawing board for you…
