“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
— Michael Jordan
Here’s the video…
Just think how many more shots Jordan would have made if he had been wearing the patches.
He did not miss 9,000 shots in a row. It is the ones he hit that motivated him to keep shooting.
I just love the Michael Jordan success story. In sure does inspire me. Thanks for sharing this, Kim.
Wishing You Plenty To Live,
Michael Jordan's success story is indeed an inspiration. I remember reading about his missed shots and his perseverance in Chicken Soup for the Soul and it simply affirms the fact that it's how you deal with failures or missed opportunities that matter — it's not always about winning. In internet marketing for example, marketers may not always get what they want, and suffer the occasional "missed shots", but then you just try again and find other ways or solutions to succeed.
