For years, I’ve wondered why the network marketing trainers focus on this so much. I mean, almost ALL MLM trainers
fixate on this as part of their training.
They present this scenario:
You show the business and someone goes…
“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t have the money.”
“I don’t know anyone.”
“I can’t sell.”
“I hate pyramid deals.”
YOU. NAME. IT.
Then they spend significant time trying to show you how
to OVERCOME these objections. Haven’t you heard countless
“responses” to each one of the objections above?
I think it’s depressing and a waste of my precious time.
Because for one thing, these are usually people you know. All the more
reason not to get all therapeutic on them. They know you, remember?
Here’s what I’ve said for 20 years. And now, especially,
since I’m building again.
“OK no problem. If you know anyone who [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][“blah blah blah”] let me know, ok? Have a super day! Thanks for listening! Gotta run!”
You do what you want.
Here’s how I see it: My time here is limited. Why
would I waste it trying to persuade someone against their
(current) will?
There are folks out there who ARE ready now. I’d rather
seek them out any day. Remember, if you persuade, push and
cajole those peeps “against their will, they’ll be of the same mind still.”
(Read: Disappear.)
That doesn’t mean I won’t come around again, but not now.
Not with their current toxic (or weak) attitude.
Attitudes are contagious. I want to be around good ones,
not weak ones. You?
New Year’s res: Don’t hang out with peeps who have toxic
attitudes you could catch. :)[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
Kim, you seriously nailed it on this one. One should not force a person to see value, it’s either you see it or you don’t. Excellent post.
