Do you have GTS? Part I

Wednesday is therapy day…

“Doctor…

I dreamed I was driving a garbage truck, and at the last house, a container filled with wet smelly sticky stuff came apart right in my bare hands. I had had gloves on
right until that last house but they had disappeared.

Anyway, I couldn’t get my hands clean after…I kept on rubbing and cleaning my hands but they wouldn’t get clean…I have no idea what this means.”

“Ahh, this is called GTS, “garbage truck syndrome…

Sometimes someone does something they really don’t like doing, like drive a garbage truck, or that they feel is not entirely above board, or that goes against the grain. But they do it anyway – either because others are doing it too, or because they need the money.

The mind often classifies those things as ‘garbage.’

Is there anything you’re doing that doesn’t really feel right to you, but you need the money right now? Or you are part of a group doing that now?”

  • Well …

I just received an email from an upline member (not my sponsor) in a company I no longer participate in.

He was telling us (his downline) why he hadn’t been in touch for so long … well, he couldn’t really tell us ’cause it’s a new business (which btw, he is making gobs of money in … far more than the company he was writing from the back office of) and THAT would be cross-recruiting, of course.

He closes by saying “let me know if you want help in your (less profitable) business”.

Yuck … phooey … gross and disgusting.

Guess it pays to really know your upline, eh?

    Glad he ain’t mine 😉

  • I get a strange feeling that overcomes me every day when I get up in the dark to go out and punch a clock. Can’t put my finger on it -just a weird feeling, akin, I think, to fear and loathing (to borrow a phrase from the good doctor). It might be driven, at least in part, to that food chain pyramid in the gaping void cartoon today.
