That’s one of the ads that came out of the Recruiter Ad Copy class…
Three questions for you:
1. What kind of person would this ad attract?
2. What would be motivating this person?
3. What kind of person do you think she’d expect to be at the other end of the phone?
P.S. Last week’s Recruiter Ad Class MP3s and CDs are almost ready. Will post info ASAP.
P.P.S. All folks testing the iGaggle Network (part of NMC) get the MP3 of the Recruiter Ad Class on the house. Check out that bribe here . Existing NMC members get iGaggle free.

What kind of person is this attracting?
-A desperate housewife with very little power over her personal money situation
What would be motivating to this person?
-A Free lunch
What kind of person do you think she’d expect to be at the other end of the phone?
-A guy that is very giving with his money and who is looking for a date
I think this ads sounds like it would attract women who are use to having to ask their husbands for money and would like to have some of their own.
The problem I see with this is that many of these women may have never held a job because they didn’t have to and certainly aren’t prepared for owning their own business.
I’m afraid it will attract women who don’t really know what they are getting into and then they’ll get frustrated because it wasn’t easy or quick.
It could also attract those who will have to ask their husband about every little thing and if they can spend money on thier business.
I think you’ll get frustrated and so will they.

Interesting reactions, Brenda and Scott…
It happens that one of the millionaires in the business started it because she didn’t want to have to ask her husband for money anymore. So, she decided to earn $150/mo so she could buy her own nylons and get her facial without having to ask for the money.
She continued on, moving from $150/mo to $300 to $1200 to $5,000 over that first two years, and today, 20 years later, she’s become a millionaire in her own right – sans old hubby.
Interesting what motivates different people.
What kind of person is this attracting?
-A woman who has very little control over her finances (and life) and would love to have more independence and freedom to do her own thing.
What would be motivating to this person?
-A strong desire to have something of their own and to have the freedom and independence to do and have what they want in life. That is something that is important to most women and they usually do not feel fulfilled without it.
What kind of person do you think she’d expect to be at the other end of the phone?
-Someone who has been in her shoes and is now living the life she dreams of. Someone who not only can buy the nylons without asking but can also buy the shoes – as many shoes as she likes.
I was that woman when I first got married. I loved to spend money and my husband was very frugile. So I got a job to buy those shoes without asking – and then later discovered network marketing and now I can buy lots and lots of shoes! Oh, and I’m still very happily married over 20 years later. So it is a shoe story with a happy ending.
The bottom line is, women are born networkers and most women have a natural desire to make a difference and be part of something important in their lives. Network marketing gives them all that and more. That is why so many seemingly ordinary women become extraordinary when they discover network marketing and are given the opportunity to do so. They thrive in that environment and achieve success and fulfillment in their own way on their own terms to create a life they love.
Now, those are the women I’m looking for and attracting to my success teams.

That sounds like me before I started seeing some success in NWM. I absolutely hated to have to ask my husband for money. It made me feel so dependent on him. Not a very good feeling and it sure didn’t help my self-esteem.
What motivated me is that I wanted to show him that I was absolutely cabable of earning my own money and contribute to the family finances. I wanted to gain at least some independence. When I accomplished this it made me feel great. I grew as a person and I knew that whatever I’d set my mind to I could do.
I wouldn’t necessarily expect a guy on the other end of the phone. It could be a person just like me having been in that situation before.
Ilka ;o)
I remember the smile dropping right off my husbands face when I’d ask him for money:{
This add would attract someone like me who loves the idea of being a home-based entrepreneur representing botannical plant based oil which helped me with my stiff neck and tight shoulder muscles, no drugs.(Probably from having to ask my husband for $$$.)
Being able to make a plant based natural alternative to pain relief and making a difference for others looking for something natural and adding a second stream of income, it doesn’t get more exciting than that.
But the best thing is that we have you Kim to coach us on how to build a mini customer empire by telling our authentic story in a voice a 13 year old can understand, and making us be more successful in Network Marketing and having our husband ask us for money. Funny how it doesn’t seem to bother him:)

I agree with everyone’s comments.
However,I wouldn’t use the ad because if the husband makes her ask for spending money, (Ahrg!) he’s gonna be a pain in the butt around the initial investment in the biz.
Also, it would probably attract all those women we feel need saving. No thanks, I’ve been Thera P too many times in my biz.
Now, DH and I discuss all business and major personal expenses, both his and mine. That’s fair. I always check and see if a person (male or female) needs to consult with their spouse on the decision to start a business, and I encourage them to bring the spouse on the call or to meet me. It sets the tone that this is a serious business decision and weeds out the flakes.
Well first off call me old fashion but I ask my husband for money out of respect not out of lack of my self respect. I am a little put out by the comments that put a women who asks her husband for anything as someone who isn’t quite all there emotionally or fit for a business.
Now on the other hand I am not naive enough to think that there are not women out there who have to ask because the husband makes life miserable for these ladies. For these ladies it would be very difficult to run thier own business for the reason that chiromamma said. Her husband will baulk at spending any money in the first place and will make life hard if it doesn’t pan out right away. Kim’s example of the millionaire NM who started her own business for this very reason is a prime example of what could be the end result, a husband who is no longer in the picture.
Whether NM is being done by one or both partners in a marriage or a home the support of each other is extremely important.

My first thought when reading this was that she would have to ask him for the money to start her business. That might or might not turn out the way she wants. I was talking to a lady like this last night, after trying the product and looking further at the info., she is working on the next game plan and already knows how much she wants to earn. I have never used this approach in this ad, but thanks to what Kim has shared here, you never know what might attract a upcoming star.
