NEW LIST.
The current Top 50 Network Marketing Companies represents the most highly trafficked companies online, as rated each day and updated each week by Alexa. To make it onto that list, companies must be 1) highest ranked (most visitors) AND 2) five years old or more as of the day of the update.
That leaves out all the start-ups – my personal favorites. So here is the
Top 40 Start-Ups list:
Network Marketing companies with 1) the highest internet traffic as ranked by Alexa, AND 2) that are LESS than five years old as of the date of the update. That data is also obtained from Alexa for each company. We are adding more companies to this list.
Alexa, while not perfect by any means, is the most widely used tracking service for website rankings since 1996. Alexa ranks millions of websites.
Rank 1 is the highest; Rank 10 million the lowest.
Remember: The lower the Alexa number (that means it’s closer to being #1), the higher the ranking.
This list will be updated each Monday. Next update: Monday, January 8, 2007.
NOTE: When you click on a company, you will usually get some live humans who are independent reps for that company. Those folks are all members of Network Marketing Central (NMC). For a company that has no NMC member yet, you will go directly to that company page.

I am SO very glad to see this list of Top 40 start-ups, and even happier to know that the company I’m associated with is currently in the Top 10. WooHoo!

Hi Kim,
interesting to see a ‘start-up’ listing.
Just would like to point out though that #2 Photomax is not really a start-up, rather a product line of Big Planet (incidentally has its own website and is shown on home page of Big Planet as a PRODUCT.
BTW Big Planet just like Nu Skine and Pharmanex are divisions under the parent company Nu Skin Enterprises.
May I suggest the following:
In case traffic is directed to Photomax (or Nu Skin/Pharmanex/Big Planet), then all Nu Skin Enterprise (NSE) distributors should be included in the rotation – as we are able to market the products of all NSE divisions.
Oh I do feel left out and dont believe I have a chance on the NMC site now with my company and the fine products I market.
What to do if our company is not listed in either group?
Just took a quick look and was wondering how 4Life Research and Young Living made it onto the Top 40 list. I took some of their products over eight years ago…………

Marion: Re the PhotoMax question, if someone is really gung ho for that product, they’ll be able to help a customer best, who seeks that. I’d have to list all the NuSkin reps, some of whom really do not use the PhotoMax product or are just not familiar with it…Will ponder.

Yep Xango’s on both lists for the moment, since we haven’t updated the Top 50 and won’t until tomorrow.
Then Xango will disappear from the Top 50 – for a month – because next month they will be 5 years old.
So check back tomorrow, and it should be nice and updated.
It’s not quite perfect yet.
I thought that the fabulous ENIVA was 8 or 9 years old ???

Market America is certainly not a startup. The Market America people I used to hang around with, I haven’t seen them in well over five years. I just checked their website, it says the company was founded in 1992, which makes them over 14 years old.

What happened to Isagenix? It was number 1 on the list yesterday.
Isagenix is on the Top 50 list – it’s like 15 years old.

The comment you mention on the company overview page on the Isagenix website refers to Kathy joining the Direct Sales Industry back in 1992.

Great to see XOOMA Worldwide is ninth on the list. The company is actually 14 years old but only a few years as a distributor based company. It is growing in leaps and bounds enjoying expanansial growth with a product people want and ask for and ask to become distributors because they have experienced the product. We actually get paid to drink water.
