"I just needed to regroup"

“I just needed to regroup,” she said Saturday.

“I was able to take some time off and look at some matches and a tennis court and say, ‘Wow, I should be there and do that,’ and get hungry again. There’s nothing like being hungry for the sport of tennis, and I was really eager and famished, and I needed to feed.” – Serena Williams, after winning the Australian final tennis open.

If you’re feeling down, maybe a little break is what you need to get you hungry again – to get motivated to do what it takes to make a difference and to be your personal best. Think?

  • Burnout could easily be the culprit for the high rate of dropout in this industry.

Our upline says to stay plugged in, stay close to the fire, surround yourself with like minded people and so on and so forth.

    All are true.

    But.

Burnout BAD. Go do something fun or get caught up on the housework. It piles up quickly and feels so good to get it done, that in itself in re-energizing. Or, get back to working out. That always feels good. Give the brain a break and work other parts of the body, right?

For me, quittiing isn’t an option, but taking a break is an absolute MUST.

Thank you for bringing this up Kim.

  • I think you are dead on!!!

I was a part of an MLM (part-time) for 4 years and built up a consistent income of a few thousand a month.

Then that company went down the tubes.

I jumped very quickly into another company.

I burnt myself out trying to figure it out – completely different industry, products versus services etc… Large learning curve.

I lost faith in the industry of MLM in the process and mid last year decided to walk away and take some time off.

I stayed in the loop though. Talked to my sponsor a couple of times a month. Listened in on the odd conference call. Read my RSS feeds of this blog and others etc…

Finally about two weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night excited. The energy was back.

I started talking to people again and thinking creatively about the business again.

All it took was giving myself a little bit of space.

    Look out 🙂

    Chris
