In between planning and doing my business, which of course I love madly (mostly – hehe), I sometimes forget to create other moments in my life.
I was reminded of that just now, and decided to take some extra time to do some of those other things in life for a few hours…here’s what inspired me:

Great reminders Kim thanks for sharing this….the passion and focus on getting the business going sometimes takes over my life and it’s good to have these reminders. It’s easy to get carried away with doing business.
It’s difficult to keep your energy up if you don’t take some time to do other things.
It’s funny I should read this now.
I was just working on an outline for a telecourse I’m going to be doing for a ladies group at my church and one of the classes I will be doing will be on fun and recreation – why it’s important for us to recharge our batteries and make regular deposits into our “personal accounts” so we have energy to draw from for our lives and the people we interact with.
Great post, and for me, great timing!
This struck a chord with me – it’s a large part of why I moved to where I am now and why I am adamant about my “me” time. My exercise classes are permanently etched into my schedule and I treat them as seriously as I do “work” appointments.
My physical environment, too, is conducive to taking time off to watch nature because I now live in a floating home and see otters, beavers, geese, all sorts of other fowl as well a moving river all day every day. It’s a constant reminder to stop look and listen to what is around me…. The downside is that it’s very easy to stay in relaxation mode and not get back to work ☺ but as I also love what I am doing for work – it’s not so bad as going to an office without windows and with make believe air…
It is important to live a balanced life…so that you are having the time of your life all the time…
