The recent post, New Silent Majority in Network Marketing? got lots of email.
People agreed. They feel sick about being part of that silent majority in NM, yet they’re not sure what to do.
To do something about anything, one needs the proper motivation.
Here’s what motivated Roseanne (Barr) to keep going years ago, long before she became a big TV star (an overweight one with no Hollywood experience at that):
“Being a victim is not your fault. Staying one is.”
What do you think?
Do you care enough to do something about being part of the silent majority in NM?
Another delightful quote by Roseanne tells us who will win and 1) give most people their experience in NM and 2)be the image creators for network marketing. Will it be the loud few or the silent majority?
“Who cares the most, wins.”
So what are you doing to do about it?

Being a victim is my fault, staying a victim is my fault.

There are No Victims Only Volunteers!!!
I love your comment Billy Mitchell. Perfect
Being a victim can be my fault if I knowingly allow it to happen. Being a victim is not my fault if I have no control over someone else’s actions. But being aware of what has happened and taking the emotion out of the equation and taking action to learn, grow, and move on is only my responsibility. I cannot hold anyone else responsible for the action or lack of action that I take. Feeling sorry and trying to make someone else the victim by pointing blame continues the role of helplessness. Victims do nothing but have pity parties. Responsibility requires looking forward not backwards.
Boy! Was I a victim of ignorance on fire and non-education about MLM business and pay plans.
LOVED those great products. Too bad the company stopped paying commissions – mine cut 80%. Company still getting $240,000.+ US in biz from my efforts and hard work … but me now getting a pittance of a commission.
So I will no longer mislead people about what a GREAT OPPORTUNITY it is with a company with horrible biz practices that hurt distributors horribly.
I got educated! And now am dedicated to educating others to WAKE UP to the down side of our great industry.
And choose a company carefully and find out if the company will CONTINUE to pay them once a biz is built up and bringing in $$$ for the company.
Ugh.
It can get pretty nasty and brutal once you start earning money in this industry and then the companies want to take your hard-earned money away from you.

I don’t feel like a victim. I struggle with being one of the few who are new school NM-ers. It is hard to speak out against people making more money than I am. When talking to those in my circle of NM I let then know how I am doing business. One of the more open minded comments I have gotten has been ” well time will tell which method proves to be the most profitable”. I know they were thinking just from the money stand point but I want to have friends that don’t run the other way. I want to enjoy my job and I really do. So if I can make money doing business the new school way maybe you can too.

You can be the leader of your
organization and have people in
your downline, selling product and
recruiting people swiftly but
illegally and you know it but stay
quiet to protect your check.
Ultimately you will be a VICTIM
of:A wrecked downline!(just a
different spin on the subject).
Whether your the leader or
beginner in your respective
companies, if a person has no
character or courage to speak up
when misdeeds are abound ,hell
will open its gates and make you
pay a price like,your reputation!

You know we can be an innocent victim because we are new an trusting. We wouldn’t treat someone that way, so why would they?
At some point in our MLM careers, we must decide to become MLM educated and take responsibility to learn how to properly evaluate any business opportunity that comes our way so that we are not a victim.
We must be aware of our surroundings so that being a victim is not an option.
Being a victim is not your fault. Recognizing you are a victim is the first step to making changes.

I heard a quote once…
“A victim blames, a victor learns.”
