That’s according to Yahoo’s survey in May, 2006. The number one reason? To do something they love, finally. Versus making money to pay the bills.
Building networks of people who use and market a product line is the network marketing industry’s answer. But how can you build a people network in an industry that is among the most maligned in the US?
Does anyone here think that ads like those here (or almost any Google mlm ads), will attract anyone seeking something meaningful?
(That’s why I don’t run the Google mlm ads here. Most are so full of hype and promises they turn off the very people I want to hang out with. Ergo the Orange Ads from the iGaggle Network/NMC members. Which are 1/7 the cost of Goog’s ads.)
Commercial.
If 1) you are looking for ways to tap into the market of 45-year-old+ entrepreneurs seeking something meaningful of their own, 2)if you are willing to plan for the long haul, steady each day, without betting on some big hitter falling in your lap, and 3) you are willing to try totally different things aimed at this market, the new Art of Recruiting Seminar here might be for you. Auditor spots only (includes MP3).

You took the words out of my mouth. Doing something you love that does more for you financially than just pay the bills….. it’s the same thing I wanted.
It takes a lot of consistent work, and in this “new age of network marketing”, trying something new and different.

I laughed when I read this blog, Kim! I very occasionally click on a Google ad but it’s usually because the hype is so horrifically blatant that I’m curious to see exactly what they are trying to sell. So they get a click from me, but they NEVER get a sale! And if I’m right about the way it works, they actually have to pay for me being nosey, which gives me some satisfaction 😉
I don’t think google adwords ads work out for me if I’m marketing the work-at-home or home-based businesses because there’s just so many google ads out there and you had to compete for exposure. It doesn’t matter how relevant your google adwords ad is, if it doesn’t have exposure, you still won’t get any hits.
For the programs I offer, I get people that fill out the form like hotcakes, but when I look at the rankings of the main domain in Alexa, it was ranked among the top 100,000, so that’s probably the reason why I still advertise. However, when you get these kinds of clicks, you better be able to close the sale real fast or the pay-per-click fees will catch up on you unless you can limit it to a certain amount of clicks that fit your budget.
My two cents.
